Loving Nicholas

She reached for his hand and kissed his fingers. "I love you, you know.'
"Yeah," he said, "I know."
"You don't love me?"
"I love you more than there are fishes in the sea, and higher than the moon." She looked at him curiously, and he shrugged. "That's what my mom used to say to us when we were little."
"She kissed his fingers again. "Will you say that to Claire, too?"
"Everyday"

I took my time reading "At First Sight" by Nicholas Sparks knowing that no other writer can be better than my favorite Mitch Albom. I read it only while waiting for my train to get to my station. But as the story progressed, I found myself picking up the book during my idle minutes. Last night, I finally finished the book.

The truth is, I can't decide whether I like this writer or not. I know its wrong to like him because he made me cry. On the other hand, there were times when he made me smile too.

"At First Sight" is a story of two single people. Jeremy Marsh is a writer for a popular magazine and Lexie Darnell who works at her town's library. Jeremy, who lived in New York City in his entire life marries Lexie who was born and raised in Boone Creek, North Carolina.

Their story is pretty much like any couple, laughter, tears, fights, jealousy....the works. Then all of a sudden... boom! something really terrible happens. Readers would go "oh gosh" (I know, because I did).

This is my first Sparks book and I must say, I'm truly satisfied. Can't wait for my next one.
